1. Insert your web browser CD and turn on your sega dreamcast.
2. If no screen comes up, push the START button.
3. To navigate use your controller and to select use the A button.
4. When you use the browser CD for the first time you will automatically be taken to registration.
5. Select options (arrow buttons on controller and A button)
6. Where it says "sign up with AT&T" select "No thanks, I have my own ISP."
7. Use your controller and "A" button to input data through the 'on-screen keyboard'.
8. Enter your real name into the "Your Real Name" field.
9. Enter your full Dial Up Store log-on name that was assigned to your account. Make sure to use all small letters and no spaces anywhere!
10. Enter your password. Make sure it's all small letters and no spaces!
11. Enter the access number that was assigned to your account
12. Network Qwest (qw):
    • Primary DNS: 4.2.2.1
    • Secondary DNS: 4.2.2.2
    Network Telia (te):
    • Primary DNS: 205.199.193.2
    • Secondary DNS: 205.137.48.7
    Network Starnet (st):
    • Primary DNS: 216.126.128.40
    • Secondary DNS: 216.126.136.250
13. If the access number is local, leave the "Long Distance Prefix" blank.
14. If you have Call-waiting consult your phone book for the "Call Waiting Prefix" to disable it.
15. Unless you have to dial a number to get an outside line, leave "Outside Dial Prefix" empty.
16. Select "Tone" dialing unless you only have pulse (rotary) dialing in your house.
17. Select "Off" in the "Dial Area Code" section if you do not dial long distance.
18. In the "Blind Dial" section select "Off".
19. Select "No" for the "Use Proxy" settings.
20. Leave "Proxy server" and "Proxy Port" blank.
21. Click on "SAVE" in the bottom right corner to save your selections.
22. Click on the CLOSE button.
23. You are now ready to connect to the Internet!

Setting up e-mail on your sega dreamcast:

1. To set up your e-mail account, click on the "Email Account" icon.
2. Enter your FULL NAME in the "E-mail Account" section.
3. For "E-mail Login" put in your e-mail username without the @dialupstore.com. You will only use the Dial Up Store POP & SMTP information if you are using The Dial Up Stores email services
4. Note: To type the "@" symbol in your e-mail address, click on the (SHIFT) button of the on-screen keyboard, then click on the "2" key, then:
5. Enter your full e-mail address in the "Email Address" field.
6. Enter your password in the "Email Password" field. Make sure it is all small letters!
7. Enter "mail.thedialupstore.com" in the "Incoming Server (POP3)" field.
8. Enter "smtp.safepages.com" in the "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" field.
9. Now choose your preferences for email headers and replies.
10. Make sure all information is correct and push the "OK" button.
11. Once again push the "SAVE" button.

Browsing the Web and Using E-mail

On the main Sega Dreamcast Network screen, click on "[ENTER]" to browse the web, or on "[E-MAIL]" to send or receive e-mail. You'll see a message that your modem is dialing into your ISP, after which you will be connected.

To disconnect from the Internet when you are done, click on the arrows on any screen, or turn off the Dreamcast system.
